Gary A. Plumb
Gary attended San Lorenzo but moved prior to graduation. He would have graduated in 1962. While at San
Lorenzo Gary participated in the following activities:
Baseball - In his freshman and sophomore years.
Gary was drafted into the Army and started his tour of duty with the 9th Infantry Division on December 12,
1966. Gary died of wounds on March 11, 1967. He was 22 years old. While serving in Vietnam Gary was
awarded the Bronze Star for Heroism. You can read his citation here.
Also, a local newspaper published an article on several San Francisco Bay Area servicemen who were killed in
Vietnam in the same week. Gary was mentioned in the article. You can view a copy of that article here.
Gary's names appears on Panel 16E Line 064 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall.
