Steve A. Srsen

Steve was a member of the class of 1965. He took part in a number of activities while at San Lorenzo.

Wrestling - Steve wrestled each year he was at San Lorenzo.

Representative Assembly - He was a member his senior year.

Senior Assembly - He was chosen as a member.

Drama Productions - Took part his senior year.

Steve was a member of the San Lorenzo High School wrestling team which won the California North Coast

Co-Championship in 1965.

Steve joined the Marine Corps. He served with the 3rd Marine Division. He was killed on January 27, 1967.

Steve died saving the life of another Marine. For his heroism Steve was awarded the Navy Cross

posthumously. You can read a transcript of the citation here. Steve was only 20 years old. His name can be

found at Panel 14E Line 089 on the Vietnam Memorial Wall.
